We prepared for an Anagama wood firing with pieces that would reflect the natural patterns of the ash and flames, producing a Sodeisha-inspired vessel and a lamp base.

2023

A few months before the collaboration I had gone to visit Isaac for the weekend while he was living in Amsterdam. For that summer’s collaboration we decided to build our own tulipière, inspired by the Delftware collection we saw in the Rijksmuseum.

2022

It was an exceptionally hot August on the East Coast. We had a basket of fresh vegetables on the studio table to use as painting inspiration, eating them as we painted them.
